So Jourdan left today for the great state of Ohio. I tracked him on Delta's flight tracker and watched him land. It was a bit of a heart jerker to see that my first-born son was 1500 miles away from home. He is, as we are, excited that the time has arrived for him to finally leave. It was a bit hard for me today. Something with the fact that we are not looking at the same mountains anymore, he is in a different time zone and I have no reference point when it comes to Ohio. Well he is in the Lords hands now and I know he will be fine, it is just that those apron strings are bleeding a bit from being cut today.
Now we look forward to hearing about his experiences in Ohio.....Can't wait for that first letter!

Hang in there...I know how you feel. It does take a lot of faith but you CAN trust that he is in good hands. I would always remember what Sister Jackman said "I know why they come back with this glow ...because they go through some really hard things." It is so worth it..I know you know that but I want you to know that I KNOW IT! Love you
I'm sure that he feels much the same way or will soon even if he won't admit it...it can be tough, but is the most rewarding thing I have done in my life. If you haven't already, you should read Elder Holland's talk "Missionary Work and the Atonement" and then forward it to Jourdan. Love you!
