Aunt Meim

We got to tend Rex last night while his mommy and daddy went Christmas shopping.  Meilin was thrilled to be able to help out.  She fed him and while she was burping him he fell asleep.  She held him for over a half an hour that way, just cuddling and kissing the top of his head.  You can tell Rex was totally comfortable with his Aunt Meim.

Rexaroni

OH MY GOSH! Can I just tell you how much I love this little guy?!? I get to spend three days a week tending this cute little bundle of joy. Rex is such a good little baby. I have heard how much fun being a grandma is and now I know first hand. WOW! It is amazing. I take tonz of pictures of him to share with the rest of the family when they get home so they can experience all his cuteness too. I just have to take a minute to brag a bit! One thing that gets me laughing at Rex is his eyebrows. He is so expressive with them. He will get his little serious face where he scrunches up his little brow and then suddenly raise one eyebrow up really high. It makes me laugh every time.
Can't help but smile when you see this guy smilin' back atcha

Rex's Blessing

Last Sunday we had a very special occasion! Rex Warren Wilkins was blessed. As you can see by this adorable picture that he was all dressed up for the occasion. How handsome he looks in his white tail coat. The blessing took place at our home. Since he was a Premie the Dr's. feel it is best to keep him away from people during the winter months. So the blessing was done at home.
Rex was blessed by his dad, Andrew. It was such a blessing to have all the immediate family of this sweet little addition to our family in our home. Thanks for the wonderful opportunity and great memories.

A living Legacy

A historical moment occurred as we paused to take a 5 generation photo. With the birth of Rex, our family continues to grow. This photo to me represents an amazing line of legacy. Our family comes from such amazing people and we continue to see their traits live on in the rising generation. How blessed we are that we know we are an eternal family. I can't imagine missing anyone of them.

Strange company

Saturday night I sit alone in my house when I heard a knock at my door. I went to see who it was and was met by these two strange characters. Believe or not they did say
"Trick-or-Treat". Meilin and her friend Benj(amin) were having fun dressing up and they came to see if I would recognize them. Fun kids!

Big Smile

So can you tell who my new favorite person to scrap about? Sunday Andrew, Alyse and Rex came over for dinner. Rex slept the entire evening. He is quite the baby to watch while he sleeps. He pulls all sorts of fun faces. He had a captured audience! I held the camera ready every time he smiled. Sweet dreams little Rexie!

Sunday we spent about an hour with Andrew, Alyse and Rex. It was so wonderful to see this sweet little family and how much love this new addition has brought with him. As we were leaving I captured a couple of tender moments of father and son together. Andrew, the proud daddy, had such a happy face. Thanks for the sweet memory!

Labor Day

Our Labor day started out with our annual family bike ride up the Provo River trail. It was slightly overcast so it was excellent weather for a ride. Spencer was able to join us for the first hour before he had to turn back to head back to work. We rode from Utah Lake to the Shopco on the diagnal for a total of 12 miles.

Meilin and Mom on the bridge where we turned around. We then headed to Maceys for Icecream cones! Yum! Yum.

Shrotly after this Mitchell crashed into a young father with his child. Both were ok, but it was Mitchell's second crash of the day, poor guy!
After lunch at Burger King it was off to the Spanish Fork Airport to go flying with Jourdan! What fun! This was our first chance to see him in action and fly with Him.

Mitchell thought it was "Totally AWSOME!!!" Meilin giggled the whole flight and Dad got to fly to Provo airport and do a touch and go with Jourdan. Upon returning the weather started to get windy so Mom's ride had to be postponed. (Darn!) It was the highlight of the day! Thanks Jourdan!

So for Justine's birthday Dad and I took a trip to Cedar City to help her celebrate. We enjoyed eating at the Pizza factory. The next day we went out and she took us to St. George to climb the Red Rocks above Dixie. It was a very hot day! It was well over 100 degrees. Justine wanted us to experience "The Crack". We finally found it after searching for a while. It was a very narrow crack that headed slightly uphill. Justine led the way with me next but when Ron started in he couldn't turn his head from side to side so he felt he would get stuck so he decided to climb up on top and take pictures. It was a lot cooler int the crack, it took us about 10 minutes to navigate through. Boy did we enjoy the yogurt at Munchies afterwards!!!

Thanks for the memories, we love you Justine!

Meilin was excited to finally start 6th grade. Summer was getting a bit long and she was ready to jump back into learning. Her teacher this year is Mrs. Lunt. This year was a bit hard because most of her friends started Jr. High. She will do great! Have a fun year Meim!

Our first Grandson!

Rex Warren Wilkins joined our family late August 15th at 11:30pm. He weighed in at a whopping 4.1 lbs. He has spent the past week in the NICU at the hospital. He has been learning how to eat and get past some issues that Preemies have. He is such a cute little guy! We love his so much! Alyse and Andrew are going to make great parents. They just need to get him home. Many prayer and miracles have blessed this little guy and his family. We can't help but feel very blessed.

President's Day fun!

Cashing in the tickets

Lots of tickets!

More ticktes

For Presidents day we all went out to Jack and Jills to have a little fun. It was great to have Andrew and Alyse along. We started out with a game of bowling with pizza. Then we headed over for a game of laser tag. We met up with Adam Merril (a ward member) and two of his kids so we joined forces for a winning game. We then headed to the arcade for some fun games. Our best luck for getting tickets was on the spinning wheel. Then we had one more game of laser tag. It was a fun day! Thanks everyone for coming! Lets do it next year!

Helium

After our bowling trip the kids got a little silly with the helium....

So I learned how to warp photos. I just couldn't resist posting this sample I made. These two girls are so beautiful, but this photo change made me laugh and laugh! Sorry girls, but thanks for the smile in my day! Dad thinks Justine belongs in a Wallace and Gromit movie!

My sweet Justine shared her talent with us of how well she can gleek. For those of you who are not aware of what the fine art of Gleeking is, it is where the saliva glands under your tongue squirt saliva out. For those who have refined this talent, as Justine has, you open your mouth and let it shoot across the room. I can't believe she has been hiding this talent!
